Hollywood assassinates people all the time and it's called "entertainment". I call this art. And art is sometimes a place to dream... dream of justice served. Originally this painting was titled "The Assassination of Lloyd Blankfein" but as I've worked on it I've decided to change it to "The Assassination of Brian Moynihan"; he's the CEO of Bank of America and I'm sure there are just as many folks out there with mounting anger towards him. I changed the title not because i think he's any better or worse, it just seems to me that Moynihan is more of a golfer than Blankfein. I picture Lloyd getting it on a yacht or some place tropical... another painting!
Still, the golf course assassination is a perfect fit for the theme, it just seems so possible on top of being a beautiful composition to paint, and since Brian is more apropos for it than Lloyd, it's a perfect fit. I've been hitting a few details and putting some painting time into the piece, I think it's coming together! At the moment I am really enjoying that state of wrongly correct, or maybe it's correctly wrong, that comes about as a painting evolves. oil on canvas 2 by 6 feet

Fantastic work, Alex. Briliiant, and 10x more poignant than Django Unchained.
Thank you Matthew!
