Alex,
I listened to the radio show. I wanted you and your lawyer know that the City Attorney has declined to prosecute any chalking arrests. So, you wont go to trial and they will just tell you they can charge you up to one year from the incident.
Also, if you were not aware, Occupy LA has a campaign against Central City Association which lobbies for Wall Street, Massive Corporations, and monied interest. So, I feel we are focused on not only putting Banker behind bars but also their lobbyists!
Also, if you want to bring the chalking thing to the CA Supreme Court, then you may have to sue the LAPD for the arrest.
Even better than LAPD we have on video that the person responsible for getting the ball rolling that denied me my First Amendment rights is Chase Bank. I'd rather extract damages from Chase than the City of Los Angeles :)
yes believe me he is aware of all aspects of this case. if city wont prosecute then that has implications so we send a letter to the D.A. and LAPD warning not to arrest me again or they will face a civil suit against them for denying my 1st amendment right. Then bring crew and do it again at another bank. in this environment a jury will never convict me. so you see the point will continue to be pressed. Fighting for freedom, friend
so you see how we're dragging the Banks into this which, to me, is the real focus and where we need to be protesting. "Chalk-Walk" didn't do that which is the main reason it was a poor protest in my opinion. And then when idiots, including "occupiers", cops, and just people at art walk mixed with booze, crowded streets, and LAPD over-enforcement it turned into a riot and then ChalkWalk became an epic fail.
I am not sure how you can sue Chase for an arrest the city made. But maybe you lawyer has a good legal strategy in mine.
It's not the District Attorney who handles these cases, it's the City Attorney
Of course you think it is a poor protest because it was NOT a protest at all. It was an outreach and awareness art project...
